Große Worte des Kapitäns

Dear Wolfsburg,

Thank you for an amazing 8 years. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your community and for being so welcoming to our  family throughout our time here. We’ve felt love, respect and  comfort during our years here, and that is something we will  forever cherish and never forget. It has been a true honor to have been able to play for such a great city & organization. There have been many ups and downs throughout our years, but the city’s ans fan‘s support for the team has continued to stay consistent.

The hard working mentality of Wolfsburg’s working class is something I have always valued and tried to emulate on the ice. I truly believe we have so much to be  thankful for. Our family has been incredibly fortunate because of the people of this city. I’d like to thank Volkswagen for believing in our team and the future of our organization. The continued support has been a vote of confidence for all current players and their families.

Thank you to Bernd Rumpel and Rainer Schumacher for your belief and support in me. To Charly Fliegauf, thank you for giving me a chance eight years ago. Your continued support throughout my career has been something my family and I have been very appreciative of. To Pavel, thank you for believing in me  and helping me develop on and off the ice. To my past and current assistant coaches - Mike Pellegrims and Danny Naud, thank you for your guidance and support. Thank you to our medical staff, equipment trainers, and office staff. Thank you for all your hard work, most of which is never seen by the public. Your work has not gone unnoticed and you all are huge reason as to why our organization continues to run so successfully. To the fans, thank you again for all that you do. You allow us to  play the game we all love. My teammates current and past, I wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for all of you. Each and everyone of you have impacted me for the better. It has been a privilege playing with you all. Being around all of you will be the thing I will miss the most. And lastly, thank you to my family. Thank you for the sacrifices you have made to allow me to play this great game and follow  the dream I’ve cherished since a little boy.

I will miss this game from the bottom of my heart.

Take care,
Tyler
